Mahindra Group forays into Engineering Education

The Mahindra Group has marked its entry into the Higher Education sector with the inauguration of a premier Engineering institution - "Mahindra Ecole Centrale" (MEC). This is in collaboration with Ecole Centrale Paris, and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. The Hon'ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Shri E.S.L. Narasimhan, unveiled the ceremonial plaque along with Vineet Nayyar, Chairman - Board, Mahindra Ecole Centrale, C. P. Gurnani, Board Member, Mahindra Ecole Centrale, on the newly-built campus at Hyderabad, within the presence of Ecole Centrale’s representatives and the Consul General of France in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and Dr Rameshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor, JNTU(H).

Vineet Nayyar, Executive Vice-Chairman, Tech Mahindra, said, "It is a proud second for us to have launched Mahindra Ecole Centrale at present. Tech Mahindra enjoys a leadership position and operates in varied business segments. We acknowledge the important need to remodel engineering expertise into enterprise leadership, in a globalized world. Mahindra Ecole Centrale will provide apprenticeship with collaboration from the industry, focus on humanities, worldwide publicity and allied schooling to develop a ‘'hole-brain approach' to business."

The institution will be dedicated to offering world-class infrastructure to help a powerful research imaginative and prescient within the thrust areas corresponding to Energy, Environment, Communications, Infrastructure, Transportation, Materials, and Defense.

Mahindra Ecole Centrale will make use of nationwide and worldwide school who work on the frontiers of academic enquiry and follow the developments of the real world in order to educate college students to turn into consultants in their disciplines.
